CALC’s Education Justice program was formed in 2021 to advocate for genuine equity within Eugene School District 4J. Its steering committee, the Education Justice Action Team, is a dynamic group of parents, students and educators dedicated to children and social justice. EJAT recognizes that racial justice must be at the foundation of all our work and that it is integral to creating authentic societal transformation that leads to true freedom for all.

EJAT’s vision is to create a culture where every child is valued, has a sense of belonging and is free to develop to their full potential defined by who they are, unencumbered by obstacles. Scroll to the bottom of the page to check out the current issue of our newsletter.
